Give me a little while and I can point you at some code for one of my #PAM-using programs, that highlights this. It's TUI, but it's structured with the show/dismiss dialogue concepts from the GUI world.

@JdeBP@tty0.social Thanks. Note that I'm interested in what PAM clients do, but I'm also interested in what they wish they could do and cannot because the PAM design is lacking.
