Mentaal.nl is a portal being co-designed by thirteen patient and family non-profit organisations in Dutch mental health care. They’re piloting Bonfire as the infrastructure for their federated archipelago: a network of connected spaces built around clear, safe boundaries, where patients, caregivers, families and professionals can each find their place.
We’re excited to be part of this, and we’ll be sharing what we learn and build along the way 🔥

@Bonfire @lykle@social.lykledevries.nl oh wat goed ik heb gekeken naar Autisme en hoogbegaafden groepen, maar die zitten allemaal verborgen achter Facebook logins of WhatsApp groepen en zijn dus onbereikbaar voor mij. Goed initiatief dit.

The illustration, even if in Dutch, and generated, says more than a 1000 words. Different community islands (all different mental health networks) choose to connect with each other and brdige to the wider Fediverse, but see the gate is closed on the right side to a burning fossil fuel extraction pit. And at the left it is clear that the bridge to BigTech is on fire 😉
