Poll is closed now, so for those who don't know:
"Disability tax" refers to everything being more expensive, more energy-consuming, more time-consuming, and generally more difficult for disabled people. The phrase "paying the disability tax" is often used with this concept - essentially that disabled people are forced to give more of themselves in multiple ways just to exist.

@ldottxt@kind.social yeah i was just dealing with this semi recently where I had to pay for a plumber for a simple shower repair because i wasnt physically able to fix it myself and its the only shower big enough for my shower chair
