Mad Max is actually kind of a shitty series because when you move to Australia as a punk and you find all the Mad Max people, they are.... pretty much like all the punks everywhere, and absolutely the people to leave your small child with. It's the... other ones you have to worry about.

I'm sorry but the shiny and chrome people are doing free airbrush makeup in the unisex bathroom and immortan joe is a tradie by day who's buying rounds of Hard Rated at the bar from a pretty trans lady in leather. You have to worry about the ones in suits.

@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange I literally schlepped to the other side of the country to a Mad Max festival in the West Australian desert (well, semi-arid), and the main take-home was "people are, generally nice, and kind". (my avatar is from the outfit I wore)
