@ahltorp@mastodon.nu I don't seem to think, those cases were used as rebuttals in a conversation about criminal courts handling of rape cases, despite having nothing to do with criminal courts

@budududuroiu@hachyderm.io @chiraag@mastodon.online @ShadSterling@mastodon.social ”having nothing to do with criminal courts” is a quite big statement when the exact same patterns of patriarchy are on display. I’m not saying ”controversial statement”, because clearly it isn’t, and that’s one of the problems. Within patriarchy there are at least two rules that are relevant here: women should not be believed over men, and a man doing something to a woman isn’t committing a crime unless another man thinks it’s an infringement on his domain.
