@vrec@mastodon.energy @chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca I've been quoted from two different companies and it's much closer to what @chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca posted though. An ~8kW system for $22k - $30k, or $2.75-3.75 per watt.

@womp@mstdn.ca @chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca Those prices seem a little high. We would generally price an 8 kW at $2.45 / W. In the last few years, we have seen a trend of "Americanization" of the solar industry in Canada. Hidden financing charges and high customer acquisition costs leading to higher overall costs. We should be emulating the Australian industry, not the U.S.
