@Epic_Null@infosec.exchange @ClimateJenny@biodiversity.social I think I'd throw it in the trash, husband be damed* if it said anything ... targeted ... eg "this could help with your garden" ... but I also think maybe the hard "no" on the first overture means we won't get more? That is the software will upsell and target more to those who don't get mad at the first few tries? I think showing this to the public clearly would make them much less popular. Everyone hates the targeted grocery prices. *he'd understand

@futurebird@sauropods.win @ClimateJenny@biodiversity.social but I also think maybe the hard "no" on the first overture means we won't get more? I would not be surprised, but also argue that's part of the problem. If you filter out anyone who maintains boundaries, you also filter out most of the people who might actually do something when you cross boundaries. And thus the abuses go unmonitored, even when blatantly illegal. Hey kid whos parents don't maintain boundaries? You want to gamble?

@futurebird@sauropods.win @Epic_Null@infosec.exchange @ClimateJenny@biodiversity.social are there batteries that need to be separated first?

@Epic_Null@infosec.exchange @futurebird@sauropods.win @ClimateJenny@biodiversity.social I figure you already know but any voice activated assistant is listening 24/7, explicitly to listen for voice activation, but in practice to collect constant data. One of these companies recently got exposed for keeping the recordings, Google, maybe? I guess my point is you should read the terms and conditions again so you can sue properly later
