@alexisbushnell@toot.wales This is incredibly disturbing but in a sense I find it even more troubling that they just don't stand for anything but do whatever is politically convenient at any one point. The BBC was rather explicit in its support of LGBTQ+ people (if nowhere near enough but it certainly wasn't hidden) but so was the political climate. Us queer folk didn't change. So why did they (rhetorical)? The same with many corporations and other public bodies. There are no values, it's only about doing the most opportunistic thing at any one time. Much as I loathe those who oppose us, at least you know where they stand. It's more honest than whatever the BCC et al are doing.
