@GamesMissed@mastodon.social One time when I was a kid three giant puffballs appeared in my neighbour's lawn, basically overnight. They were just left to do their thing and I've never seen a giant puffball ever since.
Since then and now I've learned that they are edible, and I have been yearning to try them.

@renardboy@mastodon.social I've found them to be milder in flavor and softer than, say, a portobello. Very good fresh, fried up in a pan.
