Why does the government even have to recognize marriages? It seems like govt overreach to be involved in a religious ceremony. Abolish marriage certificates and just set your partner as your emergency contact.

It’s a reverse dominance hierarchy to stop high-status people from forcing low-status people into harems. Marriage abolition is counterintuitively not woke at all, imo.
