@GeePawHill@mastodon.social You're not seriously expecting Canadians to absolve you of your collective guilt do you? More than half your voters are pro Trump, an abuser! People in Canada are suffering and not one had the choice to vote for or against Trump. If Americans want us to be friendly you all need to Clean House.

I get being pissed at the US, but holding all US citizens responsible, including those of us that are loudly anti-fascist, pro-LGBTQ+, appalled at what is happening, and have been for decades is silly. I assume you don’t follow GeePawHill and are just lashing out in frustration. I can’t speak for GeePawHill, especially because I think he works hard to focus on love and not hate. You’re mad at how the US is treating Canada? So am I. I’m also pissed at how US has treated South America for its entire existence. How it’s treated Cuba. What it did to Vietnam. I’ve been angry at the US government and the people that vote for it since before I could vote. Canada is not immune to right-wing extremism. Be mindful of that, especially as “national pride” is fueled by US misdeeds.
