Just deleted my Proton account today. I was on their "Visionary" plan and was paying hundreds a year for all sorts of niceties. Had been using many of their services for almost a decade. I have switched to Tuta, 1password, and still deciding on VPN. I was leveraging multiple users, custom domains, a good bit of drive storage, and their password manager. Still only took a couple hours to migrate off and fully delete my account. What the 404media reporting reveals about Proton is fundamentally inexcusable (in terms of security / technical stability, but most critically from in terms of workplace culture).
