I've been using https://github.com/28allday/jellyfin-on-steamOS to run #jellyfin on my Steam Machine, but it's a lot less polished than (say) steam itself. I got to wondering about exposing movies directly in #Steam... and did it https://gist.github.com/bazzargh/21748f62178e24d16273bc65f44204e9 - my movie library had been cleaned up with tinyMediaManager, then the script uses the .nfo files to write them into the steam library, and copies the images into the right places (which is the hard bit!). The movies play with mpv running in flatpak, wrapped with systemd-inhibit so power-saving doesn't kick in while it's playing
