For me important to have UP for XMPP/Dino, ProtonMail maybe something else. I knew not every app is interested to implement UP and I don't know well different languages to make PRs.
I'm thinking to create bare bone app only for notifications. A bit similar spirit to https://parrotmessenger.com/
