For me it just highlights all containers that have available updates, and then I can click "update all" or update them individually one-by-one at my own pace.

@das_robin@defcon.social @bjoern@social.sengotta.net @maxheadroom@hub.uckermark.social @homelab@fedigroups.social I do the same (from what I remember, auto-update is off by default) I have the information that there is an update, I can then either choose to look what's up for some services I need to be aware of, or just go with it.
