@chrislowis@ruby.social hey Chris, would you know any resources I can check out about scaling coops with external capital? This is the one thing I can’t get my head around - how does ownership work when there’s investment in the company? Especially in the software space - I’m very used to the whole venture capital paradigm of scaling SaaS products, but I’d like to learn better (cooperative) ways!

@Brendanjones@fosstodon.org hey! It's a really good question and for tech co-ops I'm not sure there's a simple answer, it's definitely a challenge. Co-ops don't have to be 100% worker owned, you can have "multi-stakeholder" co-ops which is a way of giving a voice to, and raising investment from/paying dividends to, different groups. Stocksy have that sort of model afaik.
