@resucutie@plasmatrap.com It needs to be: 1) Trained on data obtained with consent only 2) Tagged with appropiately compensated labour 3) Enabled mainly through green non-planet-burning energy 4) Not inherently tied to extremely evil fascist companies 5) Completely taken out of mass surveillance projects 6) Only implemented while taking consent into consideration (i.e not forced into anyone) 7) Legally incapable of being used to completely replace humans in anything I don't really think that's ever going to happen though

@witchgirls@woof.tech @resucutie@plasmatrap.com a nitpick: replacing humans is not inherently bad as long as it is not at their expense. reminder humans needing jobs to survive is the fault of capitalism alone, there is no reason the count of available jobs should be at all relevant to public welfare. arguing thing is bad because it reduces jobs misses the forest for the trees there are however many real antisocial elements to “ai” besides any of that, adopting it is a dick-hammer to productivity, to the point it is better not to do a job at all than do it with “agents”; that is only not widely understood because the hype is blowing the other way, when thats over, companies and people in general will know better
