@fractalolivia @davidgerard I don't think you need to care about the ins and outs of niche maths research to care about OpenAI metaphorically leaving horses' heads in people's beds because they want to steal their stuff. Or the deceptive press releases which made it sound like ChatGPT had just autonomously created the proof, when in reality they had poured multi-millions of dollars of compute and a large number of staff into the project, and still needed to use someone else's work.
