I don't really want a pet bird because it's kinda sad that they can't fly around free, but I wish I could befriend a wild bird enough that it would let me pet it

@bajax@baj.ax I had a willie wagtail friend once (similar build to a robin but black and white and has a big tail). He wouldn't let me pat but he would follow me around. I would tap on a pot or rock and say "ready?" and then lift it up and let him have at the bugs crawling underneath. He must have been someone's illegal pet or something - never seen that behaviour in a willie wagtail before. Seems like it's more common in magpies and parrots.

@bajax@baj.ax I had a cockatiel once and I would let in the house so it could fly. He also just liked to chill next to me most of the time.
