@jik@federate.social @jeffowski@mastodon.world If Elon is dumb, then you have to accept the possibility that he (or his political/commercial interests) were genuinely harmed by the bombing of Russian datacentres, and he was too stupid to keep his mouth shut about it. Plus, we already know that Elon isn't above interfering in elections, in fact, he seems to be turning it into a hobby. As much as everyone loves having hard evidence, we're talking about foreign influence operations, which are, by design, difficult to attribute to any one person / place / thing. Add in the crippling of Starlink service to Ukraine's military just days later... It's clear that Trump and Elon have been personally harmed by this operation, and are taking steps to prevent more harm to themselves, and protect their interests from being damaged further.
