@Paulatics@mstdn.ca Well said, including calling out racism. Here’s hoping Senators, as you say, prove their value to democracy, when the House of Commons is doing such a bad job of it.

@Cassandra@ottawa.place @Paulatics@mstdn.ca I work at a pretty "Blue Collar" place. The chatter was predictable... They were aghast that people were calling Alberta "yes" voters racist. Then the next few hours were peppered with reciting racist stereotypes and jokes. The lack of self awareness was staggering.
