People pointed out to me, quite rightly, that Silicon Valley is a pretty small bubble. The LLM hype is not even on the radar of most companies. This is true, but it also underplays how much control the largest have, both in shaping public opinion and also simply how many dollars get invested in certain areas.
In short, IBM is big. Very big.
But I cannot believe IBM is bigger than all the small shops building WordPress sites.

People wrote to me, telling me that all software is harmful. This might be true, but it's reductive. It's the same as saying that humans are all harmful. Depends on your point of view, surely? People told me that any non-free software is harmful. They told me that anything fueling capitalism is bad. I disagree. I choose to believe that tax software is productive because it helps people with their lives.
