@Npars01@mstdn.social @cwebber@social.coop All manner of federal and provincial funded supports in Canadian agriculture.. Are they supporting farmers, or keeping just enough small corporate risk takers (what used to be family farms) in business to keep the multinationals profitable?

@Npars01@mstdn.social @cwebber@social.coop But the near bankruptcy ag economy isn’t through all of Canadian agriculture, dairy, eggs some poultry use supply management which removes much of the risk that cattle, grains & legume producers face https://www.nfu.ca/learn/supply-management/
