The UK will proscribe Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps under new powers allowing the government to label state-backed groups as terrorist organisations. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said activity linked to the IRGC involved “threats to life and intimidation on UK soil”.
