What's the modern equivalent of wearing pants for female-read people to protest gender stereotypes and prescribed roles?
As a male-read person, this would be wearing a skirt, painting your fingernails, glitter, even a pink shirt.
(A big shout-out to the feminists who wore pants when this was protest!)

@rootsandcalluses@mstdn.social The things I can think of end up more extreme (but that might be fine). Short (very short) hair seems the closest I can come up with. Part of it for me, is for the most part women can wear whatever, and it's not really a big deal. Or if it is, it's basically the opposite of that sort of thing. Like it's "too provocative in a sexual way" rather than being provocative as a way of taking away sexual stuff.
