Work in progress: a first code sketch of the Carolina parakeet, once the only parrot native to eastern North America. One dot per year, spiralling out from 1583, its first written mention, to 1939, when it was declared extinct. Yellow while it lived, blue after. The last known bird, Incas, died at the Cincinnati Zoo on 21 February 1918, within a year of his mate Lady Jane. Still rough. The labels will move. #CreativeCoding #GenerativeArt #CodeArt #WIP
