They went even crazier in Japan and upped the prices by a whopping ¥30,000
A series S is now more expensive than a PS5.
And with the weak Yen, you can't just calculate how much this costs in our money, since that doesn't matter at all to the people who live there.
It's insanity.
But hey, Sharla says they will return to profitability and growth within 12 month, so all is fine. 😂

Even here in the states I don't know a single person that is looking to buy a PS5 or Series S or X with the price increases. I'm sure when the next gen systems drop there will be those die hard fans that will pay $1,000 or more, but I'm sure what will be initially good sales figures will quickly dry up at those nosebleed prices.
