Reading the calls to sign the petition and resist what’s happening on F-Droid made me reflect again. Could this latest abuse, rather than ending something, be a chance to begin something better? What Google is doing is disgraceful, and we must resist. They’re pushing too far, so I hope the string snaps. Mine did long ago. I truly hope this is the moment when a genuinely different, independent smartphone OS finally comes into existence.
