Did you know that map()/filter() were added to Python 6 years before comprehensions? Also range() was added 9 years before zip() which was added 3 years before enumerate(). And strings methods weren't methods for the first 9 years... they lived in the string module! For years I've wanted an easier way to look up facts like those. Now I have a way! https://pym.dev/since It's also available as a CLI tool via PyPI uvx sincewhen 'sum()' #Python #programming

Know a good historical Python feature story arc? I want to hear it. For example, string formatting has had many iterations, generators weren't always coroutines, != and == used to be spelled <> and =, and zip predates enumerate. I want to hear about other Python feature history I should try looking up.
