@openrightsgroup@social.openrightsgroup.org even tho i totally support this, i am curious, why do you think it'll be productive to even present it to your government? the government, who is insistent on implementing age verification. the ideas of free vpn and age verification are not compatible, in my understanding. i am genuinely curious from the position of naivety. because from my experience people don't tend to entertain ideas inconsistent with their ideologies.

@openrightsgroup@social.openrightsgroup.org terrible analogy but it sounds like "Cars cause accidents and can be used for crimes, so let's ban cars"

VPNs aren’t just for privacy. They’re essential cybersecurity tools that protect our personal data, help people to work or study remotely, and defend against cyber threats. Restricting them makes everyone less safe – including children. @openrightsgroup@social.openrightsgroup.org I really hope the government will see sense on this issue. Its ridiculous how uninformed people are on this issue that raise their voice in favour of banning/restricting internet services. Its great to see interventions like this happening now before its too late. we must all fight to make sure the warnings of Orwell stay fictional.
