I know I tried about three other apps. gpodder seemed promising but when looking into how to use it I was told I needed to set it all up through a website, because the app itself seemed to be unable to either find podcasts...or actually play them itself, requiring the use of a different app anyway. And with EVERY SINGLE ONE of these apps, without fail: Kasts, RhythmBox, whatever...there never seems to be an option to mark complete or archive all entries in a feed before a certain point.

If I have previously listened to 200 out of 300 episodes of a podcast, in every single one of these apps, I have to click at least once, usually 2 to 3 times, on every. Single. Episode. That. I've. Watched. Or haven't watched if they don't go the MusicPod route of permanent archival of 'completed' episodes with no way to unmark them. I don't have these issues on Mobile. Including Pocket Casts, which gave me honestly absurd levels of auto-sorting options in my playlist, but not on desktop.
