Starting Enigma for #PS1 was probably a bit of a mistake. It feels like a game that was forgotten in the sands of time, I say this because it doesn't have a translation on CDRomance. This wouldn't be too much of an issue, if the games wasn't dialogue intensive. Fully voice acted as well! There is a decent amount of in-game direction i am missing out on. I have been able to brute force my way through a decent amount of it, only having to look at a walkthrough for a moment where I had to backtrack to area and pick up an item that spawns in after you grab a book further into the stage. It's a novelty, classed as a survival horror, hence why I picked this up for #Spooptober . But I would probably class this more of an action game than horror, one where you primarily use your fists and feet to defeat your enemies. I chucked the Japanese in the screenshots into Google Translate and simplified the translations, I don't have the energy to translate them myself right now :blobcat_tears:
