Our new, some might say SHIN, mugichat is up. This does not federate, but it's infinitely better than XMPP in reliability and features. It's essentially a discord clone, so it has VC, screensharing, and custom emojis. Which are all features I personally wanted. No app, so you have to use your browser on your phone, but it works very nicely. Local users let me know if you want an invite code.
