To them it will be another Shoah, another example of antisemitism, hatred for Jews that simply manifested out of thin air. All people can be cruel or venal or annoying or greedy, but to be so completely blinded to your own short comings ... I spent most of my life beating myself up, spending way too much time analyzing my actions, looking for mistakes I'd made. It's difficult to really put myself in the shoes of someone who never does that. I kind of understand it in an abstract way, but it's like reading about being in zero G without ever having been in space yourself.
