The #GreaterManchester Mayoral election votes will be counted today. It looks like an easy win for the #LabourParty's #BevCraig. That's a big reversal of the #ReformUK win expected 6 ,months ago when Labour blocked Burnham's return as MP. But there is a v depressing part of this poll. It shows 100% of Conservative voters giving their second preference to Reform. That's the result I'll be watching. Do Tory voters really ALL prefèr Farage's mob to a moderate Labour candidate? #ukpol #Manchester

MANCHESTER: Rightwing votes didn't transfer well. The #GreaterManchester Mayoral Election opinion poll predicted (or assumed) 100% use of #secondpreferences in each of the left and right blocs. The actual result was that 73% of leftwing votes transferred to Labour, but only 52% of rightwing votes transfered to ReformUK. Green + LibDem = 79,670. Transfers to Bev Craig (Labour) = 58,076 (73٪) Restore + Cons = 87,310. Transfers to Sian Astley (ReformUK) = 45,250 (52%) >>

@2legged@mastodon.ie Sorry was out and just back. Nope, not worried, water off a duck's back. Didn't vote Lino because they were on the right, the LFI wing and I didn't know enough about the Independent to give them my second preference.

@2legged@mastodon.ie Hoping for a creditable result for the GPEW today, which might be difficult after weeks of wall-to-wall coverage of Burnham and the Labour Party, especially as some of that has bordered on sycophantic.
