If OpenAI didn’t want the AI to break out and hack an outside system, why wasn’t their test platform air-gapped?
Would it have been too expensive? At the rate #OpenAI is burning cash, the extra cost to air gap the system should’ve been a no brainer.
Oh, unless OpenAI doesn’t care at all about the danger their software poses to outsiders. And there it is. That is key takeaway from this mess, if you asked for my opinion.

No, of course this is not the first time I’ve had this thought. I believe Sam Altman would burn the planet down to ash if it meant he could make the top 5 wealthiest list in the last week that humanity survived. I think it’s important that when we have concrete evidence that shows their true intent, we call it out and document it. If nothing else, it will help in future trials.
