I contacted another trans guy, and he was also excluded without discussing this beforehand, but for a different reason—his disability. He wrote to me that he didn't even have time to explain what kind of disability he had or discuss how to work around it; they just cut him off.

I even asked if he really had a hard time during rehearsal, and he said it was alright. Though there are still trans men left, I still think that was Very Curious (tm)
