This is a setup for letting Trump and his enablers off the hook. The Democrats will spout some nonsense about “national unity” or some such bullshit while sweeping it all under the rug.

So true. They did the same with W. I hate to imagine how bad the next will be that makes Trump looks good by comparison, but the Dems sure as shit will do what you said, just like they did last time.
