I was going to follow this up with the phrase "Doggy of Christ" but I think you have to be Catholic to know why the rhythm of that combined with a Eucharist joke is funny, so I didn't bother. Instead, the more broadly parsable joke is: there's nothing in the Bible that says a dog can't have a spiritual crisis
