I used to be into Haskell when C++ was my main language, but never really got productive in it. Maybe that's the perfect path :D Rust clicked very fast for me, once I tried it for real, even though it had vastly inferior diagnostics and general dev-ex (compared to current Rust, not to C++ / Haskell at the time).
