Quite recently, my IFA dude was chiding me about wanting to keep most of my retirement funds in gilts and similar, bcs 'we can do a lot better with tech stocks'.
I told him I was pretty sure the AI thing would go 'bang' and destroy several markets. I was not expecting it to start quite so soon!
I worked in IT for nearly half a century, and I've seen most of the bubbles come and go. What's that alternative line to 'I told you so'? Oh yes, "this is an outcome which was predicted early on" 😂 🤣

@bytebro@mastodonapp.uk @paul_ipv6@infosec.exchange @spaf@mstdn.social "Markets can remain irrational a lot longer than you and I can remain solvent" - Gary Shilling I have been expecting the AI bubble to burst since 2024. I'm still confident it will burst, but I've given up on predicting when and I've lost a lot of potential IRA growth by moving my investments out of the tech sector. I console myself with the truthful statement that I'd rather be broke than rich off the back of Big Tech. But I sure could use that money.
