The marine biologists think the dead guy's face looks like Portuguese man-o-war stings, the Portugese Man-o-War being a kind of jellyfish that unfortunately does not attack with a broadside of tiny cannons. Perhaps if they asked a terrestrial biologist their conclusion would be a tiger attack instead of a jellyfish attack.
The Igon character, who is the stupid sexy Igor character for this movie, thinks it was a giant jellyfish because he read the movie title.

The girls have gathered in the bathroom to brush their hair and hopefully add depth to their personalities. There is the Blonde one, the Blonder one and the Brunette one, the brunette one is named Karen and is the daughter of the headbump guy. But alas, the scene ends and instead we retreat to the kitchen and then headbump guy tells us about all his 40s dance moves but not that the cops found a dead guy in the lake. #monsterdon #StingOfDeath
