For those who are not familiar with the #SailfishOS, it is a RPM-based linux distribution that is "mostly" OpenSource (some UI and Android compatibility stuff and drivers are not [yet] FLOSS).
SailfishOS itself has an official store with some apps such as email, calendar, and mastodon. It also supports opening Android apps (F-droid, Aura Store + microG). There are also other RPM stores that are not official such as Chum and OpenRepos, but these two more or less can suffer from AUR issues.

@Mehrad@fosstodon.org Yup, the experience is absolutely amazing, better than any mainstream Linux mobile distro imo The animations are smooth, the gestures are great and everything is just so polished (oh no am I turning to AI by saying 3 examples? 🥲). The android compatibility layer isn't available on community ports unfortunately, but the community has gotten waydroid to work, which is pretty nice. My only major remaining issue was the browser, I think it was based on gecko, but a really old version. 1/2

@Mehrad@fosstodon.org jealous. It’s not realistic to get one here in Aus. I miss my N9.

@Mehrad@fosstodon.org I'd say OR suffers from aur issues, since Chum is quite a bit more curated, no?
