Your gas stove will outlast you. Partly because it is a very simple appliance, but also because gas stoves are fucking terrible for your health.

They are terrible if you don’t use an exhaust system sized to your stove. Cooking on induction unvented is also bad, less bad than cooking on unvented gas, but you’re still putting things in the air that you’re not supposed to breathe. If you have an exhaust fan, turn it on no matter what you cook with. If you don’t have an exhaust system, open a window.
