🤦 Facepalm of the day The famous retro YouTuber "The 8-Bit Guy" decided to alienate his core audience and destroy his whole reputation with a single video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmgeFTAk2a8 (He "made" a "movie" with genAI that he will show in a cinema. @duke_of_germany@mastodon.gamedev.place People should stop attacking everyone who is using AI. He made it very clear what the video is all about in the beginning and that you should not watch the video if you are against the use of AI. I wonder how many people did watch it anyway just to complain about it afterwards. AI is here to stay - like it or not. Like with many other new tech, you can accept and adapt to it or you are going to be left behind. That's how the world works. While I don't like the resulting movie he made, as it looks and sounds very artificial, I still enjoyed the video itself.
