@benroyce@mastodon.social @UnassumingKiwiReborn@kolektiva.social my impression is that the left and progressive wings of the party are making significant strides.
That being said, if the dem party in the years ahead is going to be as bold as I hope, it may soon after be necessary to retire the dem party too.
We could plan for three or more political parties?

@IanStuart@mastodon.social @UnassumingKiwiReborn@kolektiva.social the #USA is an #FPTP voting system (the #UK is too, but it is also #parliamentary, which lends stability and viability to 3rd parties the #US does not have) so we are stuck with 2 parties. a 3rd party vote divides the left and #MAGA wins we can fix it with #RCV, ranked choice voting, then we can vote 3rd party to our heart's content until then, we have to focus on taking over the #Democrats, which is what #DSA like #Mamdani is doing that is the way forward
