This woman and her husband are both older than me by at least 10 years, and her husband was showing me some of his ebook and audiobook apps on this phone (read on a phone? I would go blind) and she's all about her self-driving cars and I don't know, it occurs to me that I truly am a Luddite.

@Nonya_Bidniss@infosec.exchange I read on my phone because I can make the text bigger. And I always have my phone with me. But yeah, it's not ideal. As for the Teslas... euwww. The things are deathtraps.

@Nonya_Bidniss@infosec.exchange I know you know this, but fwiw, one of the ways I have retained my old curiosity and joy in (some aspects) of technology has been to hoard beloved ebooks that I read, not on a phone, but for me a 10" tab. It's just a folder of files on a computer at home, served up as a web page to peruse and download them on my devices. Comprehensible. Controlled. Owned by me. I craft homespun epub files of new beloved texts, to add them to the collection in a respectable format.
