Every few years I rewatch the 1976 film satire, #Network and wonder how we still ended up here after it and thousands of writers before and after spelled out in detail that we’d end up exactly where we are, only the privatized Internet switched us from airline speed to warp drive with instantaneous worldwide web connecting the global north’s Oligarchs into their own virtual superstate with we their vassals and serfs. #History #Media #Monopoly #FCC
