Vance does not find RCV confusing, any more than he finds it difficult to pronounce Middle Eastern countries. He thinks his base are drooling morons, and feigns “I can’t tie my shoes unaided” because that’s the level he thinks is relatable to them.

it's sort of like an anti-bill clinton situation. Bill would empathize w people and break complex things down in folksy ways. Vance pretends things are too complicated -- insulting his voters by both lying to them and believing them to be stupid
