Drove to a new servo today, chasing the lowest price for my 2nd fill-up this year (unsubtle "I ride my bike lots" gloat 🤪).
Had a bit of a panic to realise there were no humans there, other than me.
It was a U-Go, where you do your paying at the pump, choosing from some prearranged values.
I was madly calculating in my head: fuel tank capacity * price per litre, rounded down to the next lowest option, and wondering what happens if you don't pump the whole amount of the $ value you selected?
Anyway, I survived, and found on their website that they preauthorise the chosen amount, then reverse it, and charge the actual value of the fuel pumped.
So, given that I don't have to mask up and wait in line inside a shop to pay, I think I'll go back there in about 6 or 7 months.
